Transferred epithet is a figure of speech used in special contexts of language,in which the conventionalized word collocation is contextually changed for the purpose of creative use. Transferred epithet finds expressions in three rhetorical devices： the epithet can be transferred from person to object, from object to person, or from object to object. The proper use of this figure of speech can convey strong emotions ,creating infinite artistic effects.
