摘要
20世纪60年代以来,英国马克思主义美学和文论逐渐形成了自己的理论传统,推动了马克思主义美学和文论的发展。与布拉格学派、法兰克福学派和阿尔都塞学派的马克思主义美学和文论不同,英国马克思主义美学和文论以当代大众文化所提出的问题为研究对象,结合英国工人阶级的审美经验,对当代大众文化的复杂性作了深入而系统的研究,并且推动了马克思主义关于审美意识形态理论的研究。20世纪英国马克思主义美学和文论的主要贡献包括:(1)论证了文学和审美的物质基础;(2)重新研究和思考了经济基础与上层建筑关系的理论;(3)关于当代大众文化实践积极作用的研究。
British Marxist aesthetics and literary theory has gradually developed its own theoretical tradition and promoted Marxist aesthetics and literary theories since 1960s. Different from the theories of Prague School, Frankfurt School and Althusserian critics, British Marxist aesthetics and literary theory takes the issues brought forward by mass culture as its research objects, integrates the aesthetic appearances of British working class, makes a deep and systematic research on the complexity of modem mass culture and advances the studies of theory of aesthetic ideology in Marxism. Twentieth-century British Marxist aesthetics and literary theory has three chief achievements as follow: 1) argumentation of the material foundation of literature and aesthetics; 2) restudying and rethinking the theory of relationship between economic base and superstructure; 3) research on the positive functions of modem mass cultural practices.
