The Korean War Outbreak and the Speech Changes of the Taiwan Liberal Intellectuals

近代中国知识分子仍然在"学术与政治之间"游走,只是他们的问政心态和言论方向常随政治环境的变化而改变,这种情况在战后台湾社会也有延续。1951年前后,大陆迁台自由派学人的言论方向发生过一次大转变,这次大转变的内因,当然是国民党当局"国策"的变化,而外在契机,则与朝鲜战争直接相关。这是因"内外"问题而影响"上下"问题的典型案例之一。

Modern Chinese intellectuals still hesitate ＂between academic and politics＂. However, their political mentality and the direction of speech often change with the changing political environment. This community has an extension in postwar Taiwan. Round about 1951, there has been a major change in expression direction of intellectuals moving to Taiwan from the mainland. Of course, the internal factor is due to the change of KMT＇s ＂national policy＂ and the external factor is directly related to the outbreak of the Korean War. This is one of the cases that the problem about ＂up and down＂ is afected by the problem about ＂inside and outside＂.
