双音节动词重叠最早出现在明代初期或早于明代的作品中,早期共有四型八种格式:基本型(ABAB式/AB一AB式)、后置宾语型(ABABO式/AB一ABO式)、中置宾语型(ABOAB式/ABO一AB式)、已然型(AB了AB式/AB了一AB式)。直到清代中晚期双音节动词重叠才主要选用ABAB式和ABABO式,其他格式逐渐淘汰出局。

The repeated bi-syllable verb can be traced back to the works of the early Ming Dynasty or before it, which, in all, has four patterns including eight froms： Basic （ABAB/AB-AB）, back object （ABABO/AB-ABO）, middle object （ABOAB/ABO-AB） and already （AB T AB/AB T-AB T）. This article makes a detailed analysis of all these and points out that the first two patterns of the repeated bi-syllable verb didn＇t take shape until the middle or late Qing Dynasty.
