文章对近代以来广西商人组织的发展数量、规模及其对城乡经济发展的作用进行了初步探讨。认为近代商人组织在规范广西城镇市场秩序,完善城镇基础设施建设、倡导城镇工商实业、推动乡村经济的进步等诸多方面发挥了极为重要的作用,并由此对广西城乡社会经济由传统向现代的转变产生了广泛而深远的影响。

Since this article have carried preliminary discussiononGuangxi merchant organization from some aspects, such as the development quantity, scale and theeffect to the economy development of city and countryside. It proposed the idea thatthe modem merchant organizationplayed anextremely vital role in many aspects,such as standard the market orderof Guangxi cities, the perfection of cities＂ infrastructure construction,the initiation of the cities＂ industry and commerce industry, and the promotion ofthe village economy,therefore, the merchant organization exerts widespread and the profound influence to the transformationof Guangxi cities＇economy from traditional to modem.
