台湾南岛语民族历史上曾拥有较高纺织技术,但这种技术没有延续下来。从明清开始,台湾南岛民族的服饰,一方面沿着服饰自身的规律发展演变,另一方面接受外来服饰文化的影响,内部和外部的力量结合,使服饰的文化内涵显得异常丰富。

The Taiwan Residents austronesian nationalities ever had advanced technology of weave, but unfortunately, this technology has not been succeeded. From Dynasty Ming and Qing, on the one hand , their raiment have followed the inner regularity of raiment. On the another hand, the outer power has influenced and changed the direction of development of raiment. So, the raiment has gotten remarkable cultural contents.
