Fundamental curriculum is the basis of talent cultivation in engineering colleges, Based on the system project concept, the paper analyses the present situations and problems arising in normal education and puts forward some countermeasures, which including adjustment and optimization of fundamental curriculum system, scientifically locating the curriculum, as well as paying much attention to the qualities of education during and after implementation.
