胡锦涛同志提出的“八荣八耻”为主要内容的社会主义荣辱观,具有很强的指导性和针对性。“八荣八耻”集中体现了爱国主义、集体主义、社会主义思想,体现了依法治国同以德治国相统一的治国方略,是中华民族几千年传统美德、近现代革命传统与时代精神的完美结合。学习和理解“八荣八耻”的深刻内涵,一定要与构建和谐湖北的实际联系起来,发扬湖北的光荣传统,努力践行“八荣八耻”,使湖北成为中部崛起战略中精神文明建设的龙头。

Mr.Hu Jintao put forward the socialist honor and disgrace outlook,which mainly contains the ＂eight-honor and eight-shame＂,is guidable and instructive.＂eight-honor and eight-shame＂,which concentrates patriotism,collectivism and socialist thoughts,reflects the connection between governing the country by laws and by morals,is a prefect connection of good ancient and modern traditions,and spirits of times.When we study and learn the intension of ＂eight-honor and eight-shame＂,we must link it to the present situation of constructing harmonious Hubei,carry forward the good traditions of Hubei,in order to set Hubei as a good example in the construction of the spiritual civilization.
