An Interview with Prof.Xiao Qian

萧前教授认为:科学的实践观是马克思主义哲学赖以确立和发展、并使之具有无限生命力的基础,是把马克思主义和一切非马克思主义区分开的关键,也是中国共产党"解放思想、实事求是"思想路线赖以确立的哲学基础;振兴马克思主义哲学,要理论联系实际;现在讲改革、创新,要在实践中摸索,要总结我们的实践经验;科学发展观和构建社会主义和谐社会,是马克思主义中国化的当代体现。

Prof. Xiao Qian holds that scientific outlook on practice is the foundation on which Marxist philosophy is established and developed with indefinite vital force. This key point draws a clear distinction between Marxism and non-Marxism and it is the philosophical basis on which the Communist Party of China has established its ideological guideline ＂liberating the minds and seeking the truth from facts.＂ To rejuvenate Marxist philosophy, theory should be combined with practice. Now that we carry out reform and innovation, we should make explorations in practice and sum up our experiences therefrom. The scientific outlook on development and the establishment of a harmonious society are the contemporary embodiment of sinolization of Marxism.
