RDA and its Chinese Name

RDA是国际编目界的热点问题,也越来越受到国内同仁的关注。本文介绍了RDA名称的由来,它的战略目标、结构与目前的进展情况,并简述从AACR2到RDA的主要变化。到目前为止,相关研究中提到RDA时,已经出现了几种中文译名,其中比较多见的有3种。本文建议,尽管RDA要到2009年才最终出版,但为了避免在以后的工作和研究中面临不必要的麻烦,现在就应该对RDA采用统一的中文译名。

As one of the hot topics in cataloguing field, RDA has been concerned by more and more domestic colleagues. This article introduces the origin of RDA＇s name, its strategic target and structure, and its progresses, as well as the main changes from AACR2 to RDA. By now, three of the Chinese translated names of RDA can be seen commonly. RDA will be published in early 2009. In order to avoid troubling, the article suggests that the Chinese translated name of RDA should be unified.
