Based upon analysis of the stress and reasons caused the failures of direct-buried heat supply pipeline the major reasons caused the failure of direct-buried heat supply pipeline with larger diameters are elaborated. In addition, questions deserving attention in design of largediameter direct-buried heat supply pipeline are discussed, which has a certain reference value for similar works.
