The Status of Mainstay and Systematic Supply——Choice of path for the development of Chinese democratic politics

人民民主是社会主义的生命。西方启蒙学者提出主权在民的理想,社会主义民主使其成为现实,但在实践中制度供给也出现一些问题。总结社会主义民主建设的经验教训,中国共产党应坚定不移地走中国特色民主发展道路,尊重和保障人民、党员主体地位,深化政治体制改革,不断改革完善党和人民代表大会制度,扩大基层民主,改革选举制度,以扩大党内民主带动人民民主,以增进党内和谐促进社会和谐。

People＇ s democracy is the life of socialism. Western enlightenment scholars proposed the ideal of people having the sovereignty and this has been achieved by socialist democracy but in practice there are some problems with systematic supply. By summing up the lessons in the construction of socialist democracy, the CPC should unswervingly keep to the road of democratic development with Chinese characteristics, respect and safeguard the mainstay status of people and party members, deepen political restructuring, improve the system of NPC, expand democracy at the grass-roots level, reform elective system, push forward people＇ s democracy by expanding intra-Party democracy and promote social harmony by improving intra-Party harmony.
