The International Curriculum of Ophthalmologic Education, which was developed by the Task Forces of the International Council of Ophthalmology, in which goals, expectations, competencies, and technical training are defined to improve eye care worldwide, included curriculum for education of ophthalmologic specialists, curriculum for ophthalmologic education of medical students, curriculum for education of paraophthalmologic vision specialists, and curriculum for continuing medical education in ophthalmology. It might be an attempt to provide a framework for international ophthalmologic education for various members of globally eye care teams.
