奥古斯丁的"我怀疑故我在"与笛卡尔的"我思故我在"这两个命题的共同之处是无需质疑的,但是它们之间的区别也是确实存在的。二者的区别主要表现在:论证的出发点、"我"的含义和论证的目的三个方面。明确这三个方面的区别将有助于我们掌握奥古斯丁教父哲学和笛卡尔哲学思想的实质。

It is doubtless that there are common ground in the two propositions of Augustine＇s ＂I doubt and I exist＂ and Descartes＇ ＂I think and I exist＂. Some differences, including different starting points and objectives, different meaning of ＂I＂, however, will appear when they are fully explored. To define these differences is helpful for us to master the essence of Augustine＇s philosophy and Descartes＇ thoughts.
