在网络传播的条件，学术科技期刊已不能适应科学的迅猛发展和多样化需求，运用网络技术的各种手段于编辑活动中，势必给编辑手段、编辑模式带来巨大的变化。作者分析了传统编辑模式的现状与网络环境下编辑的优势，以及作为科技信息的载体——科技期刊的编辑如何跟随时代进行嬗变的迫切性与重要性。

Under network environment, periodicals on science and technology can no longer adjust to the rapid development and diverse demands of science. Wide use of network means in editing is surely to bring vast changes to methods and modes of editing. This paper makes an analysis on the current situation of traditional editing mode and the advantages of editing under network environment, besides, it also points out the imperativeness and importance of editors on science and technology to make corresponding transmutations.
