宽容失败的合理性分析

Reasonableness Analysis of Failure-Tolerating

宽容失败的根据在于系统的一般特性、人类知识的可错性和人类行动的不可逆性。因为系统具有复杂性、不透明性和内在动态性,所以人们对系统可能是无知的,或者只能做出一些错误的假定;与此相应,人们对系统的知识是可错的,所以任何人都不可能拥有绝对真理;人们的行动具有不可逆的特性,所以没有他人对行动后果的宽容,行动者就不可能继续开始创新的行动。因此,我们需要宽容失败。

We tolerate failure because of common features of the system, fallibility of human knowledge and irreversibility of human action. Because the system is complex, opaque and internally dynamic, people might know nothing or could only make some wrong presuppositions about it; because human knowledge of the system is fallible, nobody can have the absolute truth; because human action is irreversible, without other people＇s toleration of the aftereffect of his act, the agent cannot proceed to initiate a new act. Consequently, we need tolerate failure.
