The Illusory Legitimacy——Thinking about the Ending of Hongxian Imperialism from Political Perspective

洪宪帝制是袁世凯试图借用帝制权威的传统合法性来自动生成其在近代社会的有效性,以求政权稳定和延续的体制选择。这一体制选择由于突破了近代社会"合法性"的限度,完全丧失了构建政治社会秩序的价值和能力,因而合法性与有效性的张力同样成了袁世凯帝制政权终结的催命符。

Hongxian Imperialism was the political choice of Yuan Shikai to get the efficacy of modem society by the traditional legitimacy of imperialism authority, and to pursue the stability and the continuity of the regime. Yum＇s choice broke through the hmit of modem social legitimacy, lost all its value and capability to build pohtical and social order, so the tension between the legitimacy and the efficacy accelerated the ending of Yuan＇s imperialism regime.
