Characteristics of hot melt butyl sealant and it＇s importance in insulating glass（IG） structure were introduced. The influenced factors of hot melt butyl sealant＇s quality was analyzed and the problems in course of use it were discussed, it, that hot melt butyl sealant＇s quality had an effect on IG＇s quality and useful life was paid much attention in this review.
