Differences in English and Chinese Texts and Chinese Students' English Writing

写作是一种文化现象,不同文化背景的读者对文章有不同的期待,而不同的标准又表现为不同的篇章结构。本文从三个方面简要概括了两种语言的差异,产生差异的文化根源及对英语写作的影响;同时指出了英语写作教学中强调跨文化交际意识的重要性。

As wring is a kind of cultural phenomenon, readers coming from different cultures have diverse expectations towards the same text, but structures are different because of cultural standards. The essay includes the difference of the two languages from three aspects, the cultural root and the influence on writing. Meanwhile, stressing the importance of cross - cuhure in writing - teaching is also discussed.
