摘要
该文主要研究大学非英语专业学生在英语交际中的语用失误。本文通过问卷的形式分别对专科和本科非英语专业两年级的学生进行调查,研究他们的语用失误。数据结果显示尽管本科非英语专业学生的语法能力比专科非英语专业学生要高,但在本次调查研究中,专科非英语专业两年级和本科非英语专业两年级的学生的语用失误没有明显差异。这个研究结果也证实了以前的研究即语法能力并不一定能确保语用能力,语用知识也应被纳入外语教学中。接着本文从各个角度分析了语用失误的原因。最后,本文建议可以通过一些策略研究提高英语教师和英语学习者的语用能力和文化意识,避免在跨文化交际中产生语用失误。
This paper mainly studies the pragmatic failure committed by Non -English majors through a survey in the form of questionnaire. The statistical result shows that there is no significant difference in pragmatic failure by non- degree non- English majors and degree non- English majors although the linguistic competence of the latter is obviously higher than that of the former. The result has supported the point of view that linguis- tic competence doesnt guarantee pragmatic competence. Pragmatic knowledge should also be taught. Besides, the paper attempts to analyze the causes of pragmatic failure from different angles. At the end of this study, some preliminary suggestions and practicable remedies on how to cultivate students" pragmatic competence are given.
