The following paper introduces the advantages and disadvantages of six types of column＇s section form used in high-rise buildings in the current, discusses the design and calculating method of columns with six forms, carries out contrast analysis of the effect of using oolumns with various forms, and points out the requirement should be satisfied by frame-column in high-rise building, in order to increase the bearing capacity of columns and perfect their earthquake resistant performance.
