新民主主义文化的大众化虽具有大众性,但它不同于当代大众文化。它是在中国半封建半殖民地社会比较薄弱的商品经济和民主意识基础上,伴随着新民主主义革命的不断发展,经由中国共产党人和其他先进文化人的自觉推动,向着社会大众靠近和发展的文化。它的形成发展,它的思想理论对于当前社会主义初级阶段的文化建设,尤其是当代社会主义大众文化建设在历史基础、原则立场、指导思想等方面都具有重要指导作用和深刻的影响。

Although the popu[arization of new democratic culture has popularity, hut it is different from the present mass culture. In the semi-feudal and semi colonial society of Chine, it is on the quite weak foundation of commodity economy and democracy consciousness. Coming along with the unceasing development of the New Democratic Revolution, by way of the Chinese Communist and other advanced cuhural workers＇s aware movements, the new democratic culture approached to the social masses. Its formation and development, its thought and theory give the important guidance to the cultural reconstruction of current socialism initial stage. Particularly, it has the important instruction and profound influence on the present socialism mass culture in the aspects uf historical foundation, principle standpoint, guiding ideology etc.
