The ethernet is a zone switched message network,which is simple in structure and has large scale transmission,high reliability.This article introduces the basic parts and the main charactristics of ethernet in SN388 seismic instrument and data encode principle,transmission mode,access protocole,data frame format of the ethernet.Meanwhile,based on practical experience of instrument applying in field,we present how to solve the questions in different default and provide detailed procedures of operation maintenance for technician reference.
