摘要
本文分析了各类功率放大器的静态偏置点对线性和效率的影响,并针对两级级联功率放大器的特点进行分析,得出兼顾线性与效率的情况下两级功率放大器的最佳静态偏置点。随后对一款商用两级W-CDMA手机用功率放大器进行测试,验证了所得结论的正确性,并将其推广至多级功率放大器的情况。对于广大功率放大器的设计者来说,此结论具有重要的参考价值。
In this paper, we analyze the influences of static biasing point to linearity and efficiency of different kinds of power amplifiers. By analyzing the characteristics of two-stage power amplifier, we find the best static biasing points which are the best trade-off between linearity and efficiency for two-stage power amplifier. By testing a commercial two-stage power amplifier used for W-CDMA handsets, the correctness of the conclusion is confirmed. We also extend this conclusion to multi-stage power amplifier, which is helpful to those who design power amplifiers.
