摘要
本文介绍了一种保偏光纤偏振器的复合光学膜系,该膜系由一层MgF介质缓冲膜层和金属Al膜构成。理论分析和实验研究表明,该光学膜系能消去保偏光纤中的TM模,完成起偏振作用。利用此光学膜系已制成性能优良、实用的保偏光纤偏振器。消光比>40dB,损耗<0.5dB。
In this paper, a film system in a polarizer of Polarization Maintaining Fiber(PMF) was described. The film system was composed of a layer of MgF buffer layer and an Al film. Theoretical analysis and experiments demonstrated that the system can eliminate TM mode and make the optical polarization in PMF. A high quality and useful polarizer was made by use of the film system.
