《阿Q正传》是鲁迅小说代表作之一,自发表后已被翻译成多国语言文字。最新英译本,是美国学者威廉.莱尔翻译的,这是第一个真正由外国人翻译的版本,也是部成功的译作。它的成功得益于译者十分注重译文的效果,强调美语读者的理解和接受。这个译本跟中国国内几个译本相比有自己独到之处。
“The True Story of Ah Q” is one of Luxun＇s representative novels,and has been translated into many languages since it was pulished. The latest English version is translated by American scholar William A. Lyell. It is the first version really by a foreigner with successful translation. Its suceess lies in the great emphasis on the translated text of the translator,laying emphasis on the compre-hension and acceptance of American readers. Also, this translation contains some unique features when compared with several versions in China.
