This paper gives an introduction to the forest management plan in Australia, and analyzes the differences between China and Australia. Uing for reference on the experience of editing forest management plan in Australia and considering the realistic situation in China, the paper gives several suggestions ： improving the quality of forest management plan, ensuring the law status to guarantee the implementation of the plan, complying the reformatory need and respecting the desire of operator, strengthening the training of the staff.
