Causes and prevention of IUU fishing

IUU 捕捞是导致捕捞资源枯竭的重要原因,并严重影响到已枯竭种群的重建,造成全球短期和长期社会和经济发展机会的减少。本文在对 IUU 捕捞概念提出的背景进行简要介绍的基础上,重点从 IUU 捕捞取得的利润、预期的成本及道德与社会等方面分析了其产生的原因,并针对各成因提出了具体的政策建议。

IUU fishing lead to depletion of fishing resources, and to have a serious impact on the reconstruction of depleted stocks, the global short-term and long-term social and economic development opportunities decline.This paper analyzed the causes of IUU fishing from the cost-effectiveness of the expected punishment and the moral and social aspects ,on the basis of introducing the background of the concept of IUU fishing briefly, and address some specific policy proposals.
