方向小波在图象边缘提取中的应用

The Application of Wavelets in Image Edge Extraction

作者提出了一种基于方向小波变换的边缘检测新算法。比较了方向小波变换和传统小波变换在图像边缘检测中的不同之处。分析得出方向小波变换更符合图像的方向、纹理特征，因而更能反映图像的边缘信息。经计算机仿真，效果十分良好。

This paper introduces the directional wavelet transform theory, and compares the differences between traditional and directional wavelet transforms.Our analysis shows that directional wavelet transforms can better reflect the edge information of images because they better corresponds to the characteristics of image direction and texture. Computer simulation has proved their satisfying results.
