摘要
2001年7月13日，当国际奥委会主席萨马兰奇宣布2008年奥运会主办城市是北京的时候，整个中国沸腾了。一个有着5000年文明史、13亿人口的东方古国从此与奥运牵手，进入了筹备第29届奥运会的进程之中。
On July 13, 2001, when Samaranch,the president of the IOC announced that the 2008 Olympic Games will be held in Beijing, the whole China was overwhelmed with excitement. With a -5000 year history and 1.3 billion population,China the old eastern country got the oppotunity to host the Olympic Games and entered into the process of arranging the 29^th Olympic Games .
