词的体式与分类

Form and Classification of Ci

按照词的音乐文学性质，可以把词分为单曲与套曲两大类。单曲从体段来说可以分为单调、双调、三叠、四叠四种类型；套曲则可以根据其体制特点及固有名称，分为联章、转踏、大曲、鼓子词、诸宫调等各种类型。采用这种二分法来谈词的体制，有助于突破只知单曲词不知成套词的惯常认知模式，全面把握词的艺术风貌与传播形式，回复其音乐文学样式的本来面目。

Ci may be divided into two kinds, single-qu form and set--qu form, in the light of ci＇s musical literary nature. As for its structural segment, a single-qu may be divided into four patterns： mono-tune/tone, double-tune/tone, trio and quartet; while, set-qu, for the features of its form, may be made up of couplets, shift-singings, major qu, drumbeat ci and various royal court melodies. So far as the system of ci is concerned, such division is helpful for us to break through the limit of our cognition-usually only knowing single-qu ci, but not set-qu ci, as we tended to do before. Additionally, it is helpful to us to have an overall mastery of Ci＇s artistic style and its features. Furthermore, it is helpful for Ci to come back to its original natural aspect as a musical literary form.
