In its form, ‘The History of Chinese Dramas’ has an open rational concept of writings and form of expression excellent in both illustration and diction. Such concept and form throws an influence upon the writings of later history of dramas. In its research ways, ‘The History of Chinese Dramas’ shows more concern for performances, not laying particular stress on textual criticism, thus leading the history- writing of dramas to a two--line road-stress on both performances and texts of dramas and making the history of Chinese dramas rich and perfect in content.
