摘要
以《研究生英语阅读教程》为例,以叙述学和语境的相关理论为关照,基于柯林斯词典的释义模式,分析现行英语教材短语法释义的局限性并进行自然语句法释义的尝试。最后,通过问卷调查验证该模式的可行性。
This paper takes context theory and modern narrative theory as tools to discuss vocabulary construction. Based on the principles and methods of Collins Dictionary, the paper analyzes the limitations of defining new words by using phrases and proposes the attempt of defining by using natural sentences to construct textbook vocabulary lists. In the end, the feasibility of the proposal is verified by a questionnaire conducted over 90 postgraduate students.
