试论《儿子与情人》人物关系的双环结构

On the Dual-ring Human Relationship Structure in Sons and Lovers

劳伦斯小说《儿子与情人》中的人物关系存在着一种双环结构形式,即以格特鲁德和保罗为圆心,以"情人关系"或"情敌关系"为半径,组成了一个两圆相切的双环结构。通过这种结构形式,作品阐述了资本主义工业文明如何残害人性,异化了男女两性关系,体现了小说中主要人物的相互关系及其在作品中的作用,为后人在人物结构艺术方面提供了一个可资借鉴的范例。

It exists a special character relationship structure in D.H. Lawrence＇ s Sons and Lovers——a dualring structure. To speak exactly, the novel takes Gertrude and Paul as the central of two circles, and takes ＂relationship of lovers＂ and ＂relationship of rivals＂ as the semi- diameter of the circles separately, which composed a tangent dual-ring structure. Through the structure, the novel expounded how the civilization of industrial capitalism cruelly killed human＇s humanity and dissimilated the sexual relations between men and women. So all these incamated the novel＇s main characters＇ relationships and also showed us its importance to the novel. It is expected that it can set an example for reference in character configuration for the followers.
