摘要
元话语的主要功能是组织话语,吸引听话者注意力和表明说话者意图。通过实证研究探索元话语理论在英语听力教学中的应用,证实元话语理论能有效地提高学生听力水平和听力理解能力。
The main functions of meta-discourse are organizing discourses, attracting the listener＇s attention and indicating the speaker＇s intention. An experiment is carried out to explore the application of meta-discourse can effectively to English listening teaching. The results of the experiment prove that meta-discourse improve students＇ listening proficiency and their capacity for listening comprehension.
