儒家思想作为中国漫长封建时代的统治思想,从它诞生的那一天起,它的伦理道德、义利观、入世情怀与积极的参与意识、注重践履的内在机制等,就深刻影响了中国的文人,从而也决定了文人在进行创作时所采用的创作模式。本文拟从这几个方面来探讨一下儒家思想对中国古代小说家的影响,分析小说家在进行创作时的心态和动机,从而使我们更加精准地研究他们的作品,发掘出它们所具有的价值。
