Evaluation to Culture Capital and the Quality of Life

本文认为,文化是一种软实力,是一个国家文化、政治观念和政策等方面的吸引力和凝聚力,具有影响、说服、同化、凝聚的强大功能。文化具有三种能力:一是经济能力;二是能够产生社会资本;三是可以形成社会凝聚力。而后两者就是指文化的"软实力,"也称之为"文化资本"。文化资本与经济资本是构成社会阶层化的两个主要原则。生活品质的改善是以文化资源作为支撑的,文化改善人民的精神面貌,为人民的物质生活提供智力支持,是人民生活质量提升的主要动力。因此,文化资本便成为以生活品质为导向的评价体系的基本前提。

Culture is a soft strength.It is an attractive and cohesive power stemmed from a country＇s culture, political views and policies and so on. Culture has a great power in influence, persuasion, nationalization and condensation. Culture has three functions, such as economical function, producing social capital and forming social condensation power. Both producing social capital and forming social condensation power is the soft strength. It is also called ＂culture capital＂. Though culture capital differs from economical capital, both of them construct two principal fundaments in a social stage. The improvement of the quality of life depends on the culture capital. Culture influents human beings＇ spirit, provides intelligence support for material life. Culture is a main dynamic force in the improvement of life quality. In a word, culture capital has become a basic prerequisite in evaluation to quality of life.
