论瓷器转变期时间的界定不应包括清初

ON THE BOUNDARY OF TURNING PERIOD OF CERAMICS EXCLUSIVE OF THE EARLY PERIOD OF THE QING DYNASTY

瓷器转变期在时间界定上长期有争议,但大致都定为明末清初。而笔者认为转变期只是明末,不必把清初界定在内,理由是在技术上和艺术上的绝大多数转变在明末已经完成,明末民窑和清初民窑相比所处的内外部环境完全不同,应分开进行分析而不应笼统分析。

The issue of the transitional period of ceramics is controversial for a long time, but usually it was defined from the late Ming to the early Qing. However, the writer thinks that the period should only be the late Ming, not including the early Qing. The reason is that much transition had been over in the late Ming, no matter in technology or in art. The interior and outer environments for the folk kilns during the late Ming were quite different compared with those during the early Qing. So we should analyze them respectively not generally.
