The rent for Yao＇s new 4,000 sqm venture is believed to run to USD 40,000 a month. Just a few years ago this would have been unthinkable for him. Yet nowadays it hardly makes a dent in his pay packet： Yao, China＇s richest sports star, has an estimated annual income of USD 35 million.
