论清末同文馆英语教育课程设置 被引量:8

On the Course Establishment of School of Combined Learning at the End of Qing Dynasty

摘要 清末同文馆为我国培养出了一大批英语人才,它的英语教育是我国学校正规英语教育的开端。在课程设置上,同文馆有其独有的特点:注意到了语言与专业课程相结合;注重英语教学的同时,注重学生的汉文功课。正因如此,同文馆学生毕业时,已被培养成了复合型人才,所以能够胜任多种工作。目前我国大学毕业生就业困难,单纯掌握语言技能的毕业生已不能适应社会需要,因此应将英语专业的教育目标定位于以培养复合型人才为主。为实现此目标,可借鉴同文馆经验,拓宽专业课程范畴,增加一些科学课程内容,同时注重提高学生的汉学修养。 School of Combined Learning at the end of Qing Dynasty started regular school English education in China and cultivated a large quantity of talented persons of English. In the course establishment, the School of Combined Learning paid particular attention to the integration of languages and specialized courses, and attached equal importance to English and Chinese.Therefore, the students were trained into cross-disciplinary personnel, and they could be well-fitted for different jobs after graduation.Nowadays, since the graduates who have just had language skills can' t meet the needs of the society, the cultivation of cross-disciplinary personnel should be determined as the aim of English education. To achieve this objective, we may draw on the experience of School of Combined learning, enlarge the professional course category and heighten the students' accomplishment of the Han school of classical philology.
