Sleep breath disorder(SBD) and metabolic syndrome(MS) are both important risk factors of cardiovascular diseases, which are pandemic globally with highly epidemiological correlation of each other and corresponding with adverse cardiovascular outcome, so affect the health of human beings deeply and widespread. The increasingly important clinical problems such as what about their correlation and role of each other, how about the pathophysiological process which take part in the cardiovascular diseases respectively, are respected interestingly nowadays. This paper focuses on the updates about investigations of the pathogenetic correlation and pathophysiological mechanism of SBD and MS,and a novel hypothesis has been arisen that SBD and MS may be the duplex of risk factors of cardiovascular diseases.
