爱尔兰现代城市复兴中的公共空间设计

Public Space Design in the Modern Urban Regeneration in Ireland

在概述爱尔兰基本国情及其城市复兴运动背景的基础上,着重介绍了20世纪90年代以来,该国两大城市都柏林和科克在城市复兴进程中的公共空间改造及建设实践,总结了爱尔兰城市公共空间建设的优点:公共空间建设与区域发展框架相协调,保护与开发相结合;整体设计简洁但细部富于特色,强调空间标识性;功能安排切合国民性,凸显人文关怀。提出对我国公共空间建设的几点建议:制定城市空间发展框架,进行系统化建设;突出城市特色,重视对地域历史及文化的挖掘;公共空间的功能及意义均应市民需求紧密结合。

Based on the national condition and Urban Regeneration of Ireland, the renovation of public space in Dublin and Cork from1990s was introduced in this paper. It indicated that the construction of public space was coordinated with the regional development and that resources conservation and development were integrated. The public space design was simple with striking features and brought convenience to people＇s daily life. This paper also put forward several suggestions to the public space construction in China, including the making of framework for the urban space development and the exploration of urban features and local culture. It also suggested that functions of the public space should meet the needs of citizens.
