Carrying on the Past and Opening A New Chapter for the Future The Garden Design of the Chinese Academy of Engineering

通过分析庭院用地的地宜,以"平凡院士,国家栋梁"之家为意境,坚持学习、继承、发展中国风景园林艺术理法,强调"人与天调,天人共荣"的理念,将其建设成为具有中国特色和北京风格,密切结合中国工程院综合办公和休息的现代社会需要,融生态环境效益、造景和丰富的文化内涵为一体的单位附属绿地。

With an analysis to the site condition, this garden is designed with traditional Chinese characteristics and Beijing style. It is an attached green space that meets the requirements of the Chinese Academy of Engineering for office and recreational areas and integrates the ecological environmental benefits, landscaping and abundant cultural contexts. This design develops theories and approaches of Chinese landscape architecture and emphasizes the idea that the co-prosperity of Human being and Nature can be achieved when they are in harmony. It is tended to extol the academicians who devote themselves to the development of China.
