摘要
作为非言语交际手段之一的话轮沉默是交际过程中常见的现象,同时,也是最容易被我们忽视的。国内外语言学界关于话轮沉默的研究较少,且有诸多不足之处。本文试从前人研究的薄弱环节入手,在关联理论(Sperber&Wilson,1986)和认知语境等相关知识构建的平台之上,结合英汉会话语篇中有关话轮沉默的例子,探讨其丰富含义的生成和理解机制。
Turn silence, a main act of nonverbal commtmication, is very common in our daily communication. But it is often ignored. The former studies of turn silence are not complete and there are some shortcomings. On the basis of Relevance Theory （ Sperber ＆ Wilson, 1986） and the knowledge of cognitive context, integrating with plenty of examples of English and Chinese conversational discourse, this paper explores the psychological process of the communicator in interpreting the rich meaning of turn silence.
