The funding programs in polymer science of National Natural Science Foundation of China in recent years were introduced in the first part. Several suggestions for preparing proposals have been given and the guidance for grants in 2008 fiscal year in division of polymer science was released. The strategic meetings on the discipline development have been summarized.
