The Civil Code is the important criterion of social life.The social progress itself promoted the development and modernization of the Civil Code.The position and the impact of the laws of Japan in Asia are self-evident.There is extremely close relation between South Korea and Japan in history.They share almost the same cultural traditions. Therefore,it is of important significance to take Japan as a comparative reference for the modernization of the Civil and Commercial Law of South Korea.
