本文论述了国内外无缝钢管生产技术发展历程、趋势和近年来新开发的各式轧管机的概况。无缝钢管生产的特点是工序复杂、多品种、多规格、小批量、对原材料质量要求较高。因而按一般钢材品种组织生产，则难以提高质量、扩大品种、降低成本、增强竞争力，进而获得好的经济效益的目标。无缝钢管生产的技术特点决定了实行专业化、集中化生产的必然发展趋势。对鞍钢无缝钢管生产专业化、集中化进行了探讨，并提出了几点设想。

The developing course and tendence of seamless steel tube production athome and abroad and survey of different type tube rolling mills recent1y developed are intro-duced in the article. The seamless steel tube production is characterized by complicated proce-dures,various sorts,non-unified standards,small batch and high requirements for raw materi-al quality. Thus it is difficult to improve quality,enlarge sorts,reduce cost,increase competingforce and consequently to reap favourble economical benefits,if the production is organizedaccording to the conventional steel grades. The technical features of seamless steel tube pro-duction decide the inevitable developing tendency to put the specialization and centralizationinto effect. The specialization and centralization of AISC seamless steel tube production areapproached and several imagines are put forward.
