On the Necessity of Innovation in Education to Ensure the National Security in China

时代在发展，世界在变化；支撑国家安全的主要力量正逐渐从过去的人口、军事、经济转向现在的教育。教育的创新包括创新教育和教育创新。一方面，知识经济时代呼唤创新型人才。教育与国家安全的关系可以表示为：教育-创新型人才-科技-经济和军事-国家安全。之前的应试教育一定程度上将学生变成了学习的机器、书本的奴隶，部分地抑制和扼杀了受教育者的创造性，这对国家未来的安全构成了威胁。另一方面，教育领域存在的教育不公平和教育不均衡现象引起民众颇多怨言，若不进行教育创新和改革，国家安全的要素之一——教育安全本身也会受到严重威胁。

The globalizing tide is sweeping everything blocking the way to a creative world, and the contributing factors of national security are switching their roles in the focus of the people＇ s attention and efforts. Innovation in Education has come to the fore to dominate an on - coming knowledge economy era which calls for talents in the true sense of creativity. After defining the term Innovation in Education and the Subordinate terms Innovation Edu- cation and Educational Innovation, and a brief survey of the present China from the perspective of education and security, the author comes to a reasonably safe conclusion that innovation in education is extremely indispensable to ensure the security and development of our country.
