欧阳修的科举仕途与嘉祐贡举革新——纪念欧阳修诞辰1000周年

Ou Yang-xiu's Official Career of Imperial Examinations & Jiayou's Reform on Juren Examinations——Commemorating the 1000th anniversary of Ou Yang-xiu's birth

欧阳修是北宋科举制度下成长的集政治、文学和经术于一体的文化伟人。为了应试贡举,他不得不放弃韩文,应试"时文";面对迂阔诞谩的高言空文,欧阳修借主持嘉祐贡举之机,裁抑"鈎章棘句、寖失浑淳"的歪劣文风。欧阳修的嘉祐贡举革新确立了经义在科举的地位,散文取代了骈文,成为文章正宗。

Ou -Yang Xiu （1007 - 1072） was a great scholar of politics, literature and Confucian classics who grew up under the system of imperial examinations in Northern Song Dynasty （960 - 1127）. In order to pass the Juren Examination - an imperial examination at provincial level, he had to give up the Han style of writing and picked up the ＂current style＂ at that time. Not satisfied with the impractical and hollow writing style, Ou ＂Yang Xiu weeded out the inelegant style of writing which was considered circuity, abstruse and hard to read when hewas in charge of the reform on Juren Examination during the era of Jiayou （1056 - 1063）, which is the ninth and last era name of Renzong Emperor（ 1010 - 1063）of Northern Song Dynasty. And Ou -Yang Xiu＇s reform has estabfished the position of Confucian classics in Juren examinations. Thus, the prose style had become the orthodox style and a substitute for the Pian style.
