Fukuda Yasuo seeks Confucianism in the Hometown of Confucius

2007年12月30日,传承了2500多年中华文化的儒学圣殿曲阜孔庙,迎来了日本国首相福田康夫。福田康夫首相于12月27日开始了为期4天的中国之行,商讨中日在政治、经济、文化三方面继续加强合作。继日本国前任首相安倍晋三2006年10月的"破冰之旅"和2007年4月中国国务院总理温家宝的"融冰之旅"后,福田此行被国际问题专家称之为中日关系的"迎春之旅"。在此旅中,福田的一个重要行程就是访问山东曲阜,到孔子故里寻访同对中日文化有重大影响的儒家文化,寻求中日两国共同的文化纽带。

Fukuda Yasuo, Prime Minister of Japan, had a four-day visit to China from December 27 to January 30. The purpose of this visit, which was called ＂The trip of greeting the spring＂ by the experts on international affairs, was to discuss the continuing cooperation between China and Japan in terms of policy, economy and culture. One of the important aims of this trip is to visit Q ufu, the home town of Confucius, to trace the growth of Confucian culture which is of great value to both Chinese and Japanese culture, and is a common cultural link between China and Japan.
